Spencer West was born with a genetic disorder that affected his legs. Minutes after he was born, a physician told his parents he would probably never walk. And by the age of five, both of his legs had been amputated. But he spent a lifetime challenging himself and challenging the way people think about physical disability. In the past year, West completed a 300 kilometer trek across Canada in a wheelchair and on his hands.
