The duo set off to travel over 1500 miles across the Sunshine State in search of some very unusual people and places, only to discover Florida’s best-kept secrets and oddest legends.

A variety of destinations are explored, including forty feet beneath Biscayne Bay to visit the dearly departed, an island near Palm Beach that for decades harbored a strange government secret and the mysterious coquina ruins located in New Smyrna Beach.

Canna-Ed Day: Cannabis Entrepreneurs Bank On Amendment Two

  Armed with an MBA from Nova Southeastern University, horticulturist Carlos Hermida headed west to California, where he graduated as valedictorian from a for-profit college that trains individuals for the cannabis industry.

Hermida, a Miami native who now resides in Tampa, is one of the more than 200 interested parties – from doctors to security expects to current or potential patients – who attended Canna-Ed Day in Boca Raton Friday.

As part of our project What’s the Story? — where we answer your questions about South Florida — why not play some trivia?

Thirteen teams competed during three rounds of questions about South Florida. The winning team received a $75 bar tab. But don't feel bad for the losing team -- they took home freeze-dried ice cream for being so spacey they got few questions right.

Serge Toussaint Paints "Queen" Over LeBron's Blacked-Out Face

Clevelanders burned their LeBron James jerseys. Miamians blacked his face out of a mural.

Roughly a couple hours after announcing his return to the Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron James' face was blacked out from a Serge Toussaint mural of the Miami Heat in Midtown.

“It really hurts me to see people vandalizing my artwork, but at the same time I understand where they’re coming from,” says Toussaint.
