The three, young Italian tenors, Piero Barone (19), Ignazio Boschetto(18) and Gianluca Ginoble (17) of Il Volo proved to win the hearts of PBS viewers nationwide in March 2012 with more than 2,100 broadcasts of their DPTV special from the Detroit Opera House, Il Volo Takes Flight. Now, they return with their second PBS special, Il Volo We Are Love, filmed at The Fillmore on Miami Beach in March.
The Italian trio has been on their first full-fledged tour since supporting Barbara Streisand as a special guest on her fall excursion. They also have a special edition album coming out. The three pop-opera singers started their career in 2009, when they met on the second edition of the Italian RAI TV music competition show Ti lascio una canzone, held at the Ariston Theater in Sanremo.
In 2010 the trio participated in the charity single “We are the World 25” for Haiti.
