Document Reveals All Aboard Florida Plans To Spend $29 Million On West Palm Beach Station

All Aboard Florida President and Chief Development Officer Michael Reininger announces plans for the rail system's downtown station.

Carbonell Nominations For 2014 Announced

The 38th annual Carbonell Award nominations are out, and Palm Beach County came out on top with the most nominations at 62. The Maltz Jupiter Theater topped all other theaters, carrying 19 nominations.

The Maltz is no stranger to Carbonells, having received more than 20 nominations per year in the past two years.

Notable nominees include two recently established Boca Raton theaters: Slow Burn Theater Company and the Wick Theater and Costume Museum.

A board of both city employees and people outside of government will rank the companies, though no timetable is in place for the review process.

Thousands of West Palm Beach senior citizens will have to wait another month for a decision on a controversial development planned near their retirement community.

After hours of public comment on Thursday, a Palm Beach County Commission meeting ended in a tied vote on the future of the project, named "Reflection Bay."

Developers want to turn an unused golf course next to the West Palm Beach Century Village into a neighborhood of homes and retail stores.

Slideshow: West Palm Beach Marks The Holidays In Florida Fashion

The company Team Sandtastic created 7 different holiday themed sand sculptures for the City of West Palm Beach.

For the second year in a row, West Palm Beach has opted to decorate the city in a very South Florida fashion this holiday season.

Large, intricate holiday themed sand sculptures have been erected all down Clematis Street between Rosemary Avenue and the waterfront.

City of West Palm Beach spokesman Elliot Cohen said the sculptures have been more than festive, they've been good publicity. The largest sculpture is a 35-foot-tall Christmas tree made with 400 tons of sand.
